Dairy’s Foundation has awarded three grants to programs focused on building healthy and vibrant dairy communities across the United States.

As the only public-held national foundation supporting dairy education and initiatives across the entire dairy industry food chain, Dairy’s Foundation provides financial support for programs that nurture the next generation of dairy leaders, develop the skills of current dairy farmers and strengthen the bond of trust between consumers and producers.

This round of grants, awarded in July 2025, will support:

    • Books in Homes USA, Inc, in Bristol, Pennsylvania, to distribute 800 dairy-themed books to schools and community sites in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. The program is designed to increase awareness and understanding of the dairy industry among urban students and families and will include the development of an educational webpage with dairy-related resources that students can access through a QR code in the books.
    • Envision Greater Fond du Lac Agri-Business Council, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, for the development of a portable, interactive dairy education exhibit. The dairy component will be part of an agriculture exhibit that will be added to the Ag Education Center at the Fond du Lac County Fair and at the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac, with a focus on the uses and nutritional value of dairy products, the technology and automation used in dairy production and conservation and sustainability efforts in agriculture.
    • Vermont Cheese Council, in Essex Junction, Vermont, to support the 2025 Artisan Cheesemakers Autumn Conference. The one-day conference will provide cheesemakers with focused workshops to build their marketing, communications and leadership skills and provide business technical assistance.

“Dairy’s Foundation is proud to support programs across the country that are taking focused, creative approaches to strengthening the dairy industry,” said Brian Forrest, dairy producer from Stratford, Wis., and chair of Dairy’s Foundation board of directors. “We appreciate the work of grantee organizations and the support of dairy producers and allied industry that make Dairy’s Foundation grants possible.”

The next deadline for grant applications is December 1, 2025. More information is available for grantseekers at www.DairyFoundation.org
