Select Sires Member Cooperative (SSMC) is pleased to announce the addition of Josh Keller to the SSMC team. He serves dairy producers in western Ohio as a Professional A.I. Technician as part of the ProTECH team. In his relief role, Josh works with other ProTECH technicians to meet the daily reproductive goals of each producer.

Josh has previously served as an A.I. Technician for CentralStar in Michigan, where he was responsible for tail chalking, heat detection, and A.I. breeding. Additionally, he performed herd reproductive analysis to help meet producer goals.

He also has additional experience as a laboratory technician, evaluating feed, plant, water, and manure samples for Brookside Laboratory. His customer service skills were honed at Homan Incorporated where he worked as customer support in the parts and distribution centers.

Josh is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Animal Science – Animal Industries, and a minor in Agronomy. He also serves his community as a volunteer firefighter at the Chickasaw Volunteer Fire Department.

“Josh was an A.I. intern for us several years ago and we are excited he is returning to the organization where it all started for him,” shared Chris Lahmers, Area 3 and Mexico Business Director for SSMC, who oversees Ohio.
