Handy Hint: October 25, 2016

I have a handy hint every person is going to love. It involves keeping your vehicle clean when transporting animals, feed, or other supplies.

When we need to use our car or van to pick up farm supplies, we normally end up having a feed bag spill or mineral blocks leave stains. We devised a way to prevent this and make it easy to clean up.

We took a piece of linoleum and traced out the dimensions of both of our vehicles (in this case, the back of our van and car). Then we took a razor and cut it out. If you prefer it to have a raised edge, cut it about 1/2 inch wider than the traced outline. A raised edge will also help to keep any loose particles from getting into the crevices of your car. Once cut, lay down the linoleum piece where it is needed.
