I made a bottomless box from pallets to “bale” plastic from silage tarp, bags, and net wrap. I place the box on a hard surface and line it with heavy plastic twine from square bales. As the box gets full of plastic, I pack it down by placing a piece of plywood on top and use old tires on top of the plywood to press it down with a loader.
When the box is full of compressed plastic, I tie the twine strings to form the bale and lift off the box. The resulting plastic bale can then be hauled to a landfill or recycling center easily.
