Jefferson will lead growth of the dairy data management ecosystem, bringing more value to producers.

URUS Group is pleased to announce Dale Jefferson has been named chief executive officer of VAS. In this role, he will focus on global growth of the dairy data management ecosystem.

“Dale Jefferson is an experienced and proven executive with a strong software growth and business development record,” says Kevin Muxlow, URUS chief operations officer. “He’s worked with start-ups and companies scaling sales in the grain supply chain, agronomy, infrastructure and agriculture industries.”

Most recently, Jefferson was the general manager of Solentra Global, an international software and service business executing digital transformation in the grain supply chain sector and part of the Constellation Software companies. He also served as a director with CropZilla, a subscription software platform that collects field equipment operating data to optimize productivity, decision-making and farm profitability.

“I am eager to work with the team and find ways to accelerate innovation to drive farm productivity and profitability,” says Jefferson. “It’s exciting to see what this data management and decision-making evolution will bring to the industry.”

Jefferson holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in chemistry from Princeton University.
