Over 760 trade show exhibitors are part of the 2010 World Dairy Expo, encompassing 650,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. Each year booths and displays are evaluated for design and layout and the top booth is selected in three catagories. The awards are sponsored by Filament Marketing of Madison, Wis. Winners receive a banner to display in their booth.
In the small booth division, Bonnie Mohr Studio earned the top award. Artist Bonnie Mohr redesigned her booth space, which is located just inside the entrance to the coliseum. This year marks the 25th year that Bonnie Mohr has had a trade show booth at World Dairy Expo.
In the intermediate division, Lely earned top marks, and also took home a new award, Best Outdoor Display, for their automated feed pusher. Their booth is located on the outside wall of the arena building.
Boumatic's milking system display was the winner of the large booth division. Their extensive display is located in the Exhibition Hall.
While only three booths were recognized, the variety and quality of the booths on display made for an enjoyable opening day to the trade show. Whether new technology was being displayed, advancements to current equipment, or advice on a dairy issue, there was something for everyone in the trade show. Here are a few of exhibitors enjoying opening day.
