cows eating

I found this short article, "Older cows digest feed better," in the July 5, 2016, Intel, to be very revealing. Many of us involved in dairy cattle genetics have long argued in defense of "older cows" as being the most profitable herd members.

This article puts those views in perspective from the "in production" side as well as the reproductive and replacement cost side.

Thank you for having an editorial staff that keeps tabs on dairy research worldwide.
