In the Red and White show on the colored shavings today, it was a win for the KHW family. KHW Regiment Apple-Red-ET owned by the Apple Partners of Edgerton, Wisc., took top honors and was named the Red and White Grand Champion. Milksource Genetics, Kaukauna, Wis. received a Reserve Grand accolade with Wilstar-Rs Tlt Limited-Red. Making it a family affair RW KHW Regiment Apple 3-Red-ETS owned by Westcoast Holsteins of Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada was honorable mention.
Apple was also named senior champion. Milksource Genetics took reserve and honorable mention with Wilstar-Rs Tlt Limited-Red and RW Budjon-Nitzy Destiny-Red-ET.
Grand and senior champion female of the junior show went to Ainger Advent Jessa-Red owned by Britney Hill from Bristol, Vermont. Reserve grand honors were awarded to Underwood Advent Jane owned by Kristin King of Waddington, New York.
In total 275 head of Red and White cattle, judged by Adam Liddle of Argyle, N.Y., and Adam Hodgins from Kincardine, Ontario, Canada walked on the colored shavings.
