“DMI opened our eyes to dairy.”

That was one of the opening statements by Heather Mottershaw during our on-site visit to Taco Bell’s headquarters in Irvine, Calif., located in the greater Los Angeles area.

“DMI just brought such a different level of knowledge to us. Our focus is now cheese.”

Mottershaw should know as the product specialist has been with the Taco Bell brand for 13 years.

To learn more about Dairy Management Inc. (DMI) and the national dairy checkoff’s partnership with Taco Bell, listen to audio comments from Taco Bell’s Heather Mottershaw. A note to the listeners, at times there are questions from Hoard’s Dairyman Managing Editor Corey Geiger.

This Hoard’s Dairyman Intel article is part of an eight-part Dairy Food Maker series with Taco Bell. It details a partnership that began with Taco Bell and Dairy Management Inc. (DMI) in 2012 and continues to this day with Dairy Checkoff dairy scientists working directly at Taco Bell’s headquarters in the greater Los Angeles, Calif., area.
