Only one U.S. dairy co-op — Dairy Farmers of America — and three U.S.-based dairy processors rank among the world’s largest dairy companies. That’s according to an annual list compiled by Rabobank in its report, “Global Dairy Top 20 2017."

Joining fourth-ranked DFA were:

No. 11 Dean Foods

No. 13 Kraft Heinz

No. 17 Schreiber Foods

While Kraft Heinz held its position from the previous year, Dean Foods fell one spot as China’s Mengniu made its debut in the top 10. Meanwhile, Schreiber Foods climbed up one spot.

All rankings are based on sales.
