The Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) announce their upcoming out-of-state dairy tour to provide 50 dairy farmers the opportunity to visit leading farms and Homestead Creamery across the Blue Ridge Mountains during the PDPW Dairy Tours - Virginia on Nov. 6-9, 2017.

The event will begin on Monday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. with a Welcome Reception at the Holiday Inn Valley View, 3315 Ordway Dr NW, Roanoke, Virginia, with tours planned for the following morning, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and concluding on November 9 at 8 p.m.

Dr. David Kohl, leading dairy economist, financial expert, and professor emeritus from Virginia Tech University, will lead the tour of his Homestead Creamery and Stoney Brook Farm. We will tour seven additional dairy farms, traveling from the northeast to the southwest, through the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, where dairy farms combine generations of history with leading edge technologies. Dairy farmers will learn from their peers and see firsthand how dairy farmers in the “Old Dominion” state take charge and successfully manage their thriving and innovative dairy businesses.

Space is limited to the first 50 dairy farmers. Registration includes the welcome reception, three nights’ lodging, eight meals, tour transportation and training materials. Tour participants will be responsible for their own airfare.
