Reader Response: Looks like marketing hype

I’m not from Vermont, but I am a dairy farmer from neighboring Massachusetts and want to weigh in on the Hoard’s Dairyman Intel “Ben & Jerry’s action not new.”

I don’t have hired help. However, I have two sons who work on the dairy.

For me, additional labor is too expensive for the return in a marginal business such as dairy farming. Also, in this area I don’t see anyone around here treating people that way. Looks like more marketing hype to me from Ben & Jerry’s.
