Select Sires Inc. recognized Shane Boettcher and Dan Curtin with Select Reproductive Solutions® (SRS®) Specialist of the Year awards at the federation’s recent Trusted Advisor Conference in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Boettcher was awarded the SRS honor for 2021. He is a key client specialist for Minnesota/Select Sires Co-op, Inc. where his lifelong experience in dairy production brings an exceptional perspective to the customers he serves. “We are delighted to recognize Shane as he exemplifies the true meaning of ‘going above and beyond’ for our cooperative members,” said Murray Sinclair, marketing director for Minnesota/Select Sires. “His countless hours of data mining to find helpful solutions to support producers and enhance profitability and efficiency are invaluable.” Shane has also been instrumental in growing CowManager® sales while providing dairies with real-time insights to improve the health and productivity of their cows.

Curtin was awarded the SRS honor for 2022 and has been a member of the COBA/Select Sires team since 2018. He previously worked for All West/Select Sires. Curtin is continuously learning and expanding his skill set to use Select Sires’ services to help customers reach their goals. He is known for taking complex programs and tools such as ProfitSOURCE® beef x dairy, reproductive synchronization and the Optimal Genetic Pathways inventory calculator and making them easier to understand and implement within both beef and dairy operations. “Every day, Dan works to bring his best and in turn brings out the best in those he is helping,” said Rodney Wegener, marketing director southwest for COBA/Select Sires.
