Students visiting Horning Farms and Domino’s World Resource Center with GENYOUth and Domino’s executives.
Dairy checkoff-founded GENYOUth and Domino’s recently partnered to engage students in an AdVenture Capital challenge to educate their peers on where food comes from. More than 30 student teams from schools across the country participated in three on-line workshops focused on farming, procurement and pizza production and heard from experts representing Horning Farms in Manchester, MI, Leprino Cheese and Domino’s. The top three teams, including one from the Future Farmers of America , won grants of $2,000 to bring their project to life, and a trip to Domino’s World Resource Center. Three winning student teams from Florida, Ohio and Wisconsin had the opportunity to visit a dairy farm and learn about the pizza business first-hand from Domino’s executives as well as career opportunities in the pizza and dairy industries.
