Select Sires Member Cooperative (SSMC) is pleased to announce the promotion of J.R. Fisher to Account Manager. In this role, J.R. will be responsible for a direct sales route, working with both dairy and beef customers in East Texas, a territory previously served by Donald Lawson, who is retiring after 37 years.
J.R.’s skills include a deep understanding of herd health and reproductive management protocols, as well as PCDART and DairyComp herd management software programs. “These skills are a great resource for the customers J.R. serves,” shared Rodney Wegener, Area 5 Business Director.
J.R. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy Science from Texas A&M University - College Station and served as President of the Dairy Science Club.
