The International Milking Shorthorn Show was held today, Wednesday, September 29. The show began with the milking classes, the champions, and then followed by the heifer classes. Two well-known cows of the breed came ready for the challenge. Coming out on top were the two aged cows, Peri and Christina. Christina has been Reserve Grand Champion at Madison four different times, today it was Peri's day!

Ron Mosser of Geneva, Ind., served as judge and selected Tex-Star Othello Peri as Grand Champion. Peri is exhibited by Springville Farm & Fisher of New Enterprise, Penn. Lands-Brook Christina-Exp-ET again claimed Reserve Champion honors.

Larry Landsgard holds the silver tray for owner Jordan Landsgard while Gene Henderson is at the halter of Christina. Peri is held by Keith Fisher while Donnette Fisher displays the Grand Champion Awards. Udder Comfort presents the check to the Grand Champion cow.

Intermediate Champion was the Sr 3 Yr old, GMC Innisfail Princess 610-ET, exhibited by Brook Clark of Cornish Flat, NH. Jason Robinson of New Holland, Ohio owns the Reserve Intermediate Champion, Blue Spruce Hta Melody Mya, the winning Jr 3 year old cow.

The Nasco Type and Production Winner was the 5 year old, Dan Sal Megadeath Zena owned by Purple Fever and Idalee Farms of Lowville, New York.
