    Celebrating Dairy Around the Globe

World Milk Day is celebrated each year on June 1, and was established in 2001 by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. This global observance highlights the importance of milk as a nutritious food, celebrates the contributions of the dairy community, and raises awareness of the many health benefits of dairy products.

Since its launch, World Milk Day has grown into a truly global celebration, with events in more than 100 countries. Activities range from school and community events to farm tours, dairy tastings, and widespread social media engagement.

Social media has become a powerful tool to spotlight dairy’s role in health and sustainability. In recent years, campaigns have reached millions through videos, infographics, live streams, and more.
