Minnesota Select Sires Co-Op, Inc. is proud to announce that Shane Boettcher, Isanti, Minn., has been named a key client specialist. In this role, Boettcher will assist dairy customer-owners by providing reproductive performance analysis, performing genetic development consulting and training and supporting technician services in central and southeast Minnesota.

“I'm excited and fortunate to continue my career with this expanded role at Minnesota Select Sires,” explained Boettcher. “I look forward to working with everyone who shares my passion for this industry.”

Boettcher has been a professional service technician for Minnesota Select Sires since 2013, performing A.I. services. A graduate of the SelectCheck™ A.I. training school, he gained experience with Select Mating Service™ (SMS™) as well as record keeping and implementing synchronization programs. Previously, he spent several years managing large dairy farms in California and Texas where he gained knowledge in sire selection, training and supervising employees, evaluating herd performance, implementing new protocols and herd health. Boettcher also owned and operated his own Holstein and Jersey dairy farm in Tillamook, Ore. for seven years. He attended the University of Minnesota and was an active member of the dairy judging team, Gopher Dairy Club, Delta Theta Sigma fraternity and the Minnesota Holstein Association.
