Agri-Basics, Inc., based in Elizabethtown Pennsylvania, hosted a producers meeting on December 9, 2021 in New Holland, PA. More than 125 producers from southeastern Pennsylvania participated. They visited displays from local and national vendors including: Innovative Additives, York Ag Products, Zinpro, Balchem, Elanco Animal Health, Merck, Milk Specialties, Perdue Agri-Business, Triple M, CE Sauder, Double S Liquid Feeds, Phileo by Lesaffre, Lallemand Specialties, Lancaster DHIA, Sporting Valley Feeds, Troop Enterprises and White Oak Mills; as well as Penn State Extension and Center for Dairy Excellence.

The events main offering featured presentations from two keynote speakers. Kevin Dhuyvetter, PhD, is a Technical Consultant for Elanco Animal Health’s U.S. Dairy Business Unit. From Manhattan, Kansas, Kevin provides support to U.S. dairy producers and key influencers on economic-related issues in the dairy industry. His topic was “Dairy Replacement Heifer Economics.”

Kirk Sattazahn, Vice President of Marketing and Development for Premier Select Sires gave a presentation on “Maximizing Revenue with Beef on Dairy.” He resides on the family dairy farm in southeastern Pennsylvania with his wife and children. He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Agricultural Business Management.
