Mikayla Peper, 2022
University of Minnesota
Mikayla grew up near Osceola, Wis., with her parents, Bruce and Julie, and her sister, Mackenzie. She discovered her passion for the dairy industry while working on her neighbors’ Holstein dairy farm. That spurred her involvement in 4-H and FFA, and following graduation from Osceola High School, she headed to the University of Minnesota to pursue a degree in agricultural communication and marketing.
Peper, who recently completed her junior year, served as president of the Agricultural Business Club on campus. She also holds leadership positions for the Gopher Dairy Club and the Lambda Delta Phi Sorority. During the school year, she worked as a website designer for the University of Minnesota department of animal science, and last summer, she was a farmer relations intern for Midwest Dairy. She returned from a two-week study abroad trip in Greece prior to starting her internship.
