Hat collection features Hoard’s Dairyman Farm Creamery’s St. Saviour cheese.

Move over, cheesehead foam hats — Wisconsin Cheese has launched its “Rinds and Roses” millinery collection, just in time for the Kentucky Derby. The couture line includes nine hats, all design exclusives from milliner Christine A. Moore, created to honor both Derby Day fashion traditions and Wisconsin’s winning cheeses. Several fascinators in the collection feature Hoard’s Dairyman Farm Creamery’s own St. Saviour, an award-winning take on Camembert created by Master Cheesemaker Jon Metzig with the milk from the oldest registered Guernsey herd in the United States.

St. Saviour is given a place of honor on its own “Kentucky Oaks” hat — a fuchsia and pink fascinator inspired by the cheese variety’s “refined indulgence,” according to Wisconsin Cheese. St. Saviour is also featured in three additional hats in the Rinds and Roses line, which includes other artisan Wisconsin varieties. Rinds and Roses hats can be purchased on the Wisconsin Cheese website at www.wisconsincheese.com. Total proceeds from sales will benefit the Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center at the University of Kentucky.
