Samantha Stamm

Samantha Stamm served as the 37th Hoard’s Dairyman editorial intern. She was raised in northeast Kentucky where her family formerly operated a registered Holstein dairy and tobacco farm. She now co-owns and manages an Angus seedstock and commercial cow-calf operation with her family, in addition to producing hay, corn, and soybeans.

Stamm’s early involvement in agricultural clubs began with 4-H, where she showed market hogs. It was through FFA that she first discovered a passion for writing while contributing to a weekly column for the local newspaper that connected themes of food, farming, and faith.

Stamm earned her bachelor’s degree in agribusiness with a dual major in animal science from Morehead State University in May 2023. Throughout her undergraduate college career, she lived and worked on the university farm. She held leadership positions and served on committees within Collegiate Farm Bureau, Delta Tau Alpha Agricultural Honor Society, and Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity. Today, Stamm remains active in agricultural organizations at the local, state, and national level.

Stamm obtained a master’s degree in agricultural communications from Oklahoma State University in May 2025. There, she worked for the OSU Division of Agriculture and OSU Extension as a digital team graduate research assistant.
