Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker joined World Dairy Expo and New Holland to slice the ribbon on the New Holland Pavilions.

After months of planning, discussion and round-the-clock construction, the New Holland Pavillion ribbon cutting ceremony this morning ushered in a new era for World Dairy Expo. As the scissors sliced through the blue ribbon, representatives of the contributing parties celebrated a job well done.

The speakers during the event noted how exciting it has been to watch the project come together and see the collaboration across the groups that made this happen.

"We are very proud of this building," noted Abe Hughes, vice president of New Holland, North America. "We believe the animals needs have been met by this facility."

As Scott Bentley, general manager of World Dairy Expo, mentioned, the producers who dreamt of an event of this scale would be very proud of the collaboration that brought about the buildings.

"The New Holland Pavilion is a testament to the visionary leadership of World Dairy Expo over the last 48 years," Bentley said. "We are very pleased to be the first event to be held in the pavilion."

New Holland and World Dairy Expo also welcomed Governor Scott Walker to be part of the festivities. Governor Walker took a few moments to speak about Wisconsin's excitement to have been part of the process, and his Secretary of Agriculture, Ben Brancel, summed up the significance of this milestone.

"We can stop dreaming now and live in reality and enjoy what we have built," said Brancel.
