Amidst all the activities of World Dairy Expo, 185 elite 4-H dairy members gather in Madison, Wis., to explore opportunities within the dairy industry. They hail from all across the United States and gather with the intention of networking, learning, and exploring a new part of the dairy industry.
On Monday, conference attendees and their advisors descended on Fort Atkinson. They toured Nasco, the National Dairy Shrine Museum, the Hoard’s Dairyman offices and farm.
Hoard’s Dairyman staff always enjoys the chance to interact with this group, and this year was no different.
Below are a few candids of their day.
On Tuesday, the 4-H members received lessons in ag advocacy, college planning, and career opportunities in agriculture. Their evening activities were capped by a visit to Crave Brothers Farm in Waterloo, Wis.
The conference will wrap up today with seminars on dairy foods, dairy reproduction, marketing, animal nutrition, economics, and more. They will also have the chance to explore World Dairy Expo.
