Over time, accumulated sprinkler line water in the summer was causing excessive corrosion of steel pipes used to hold the headlocks at the feedbunk at Wallman Dairy. Darrell Wallman, Diller, Neb., kept this in mind when he designed his new springing heifer barn. He asked the builders to pour the curbs with a curved top, rather than a flat one, so that feed and moisture will roll off of the curbs rather than settle on top of it. So far, he has been very pleased with this design.
