After reading your Hoard’s Dairyman Intel “Multiple component pricing a no-go for now,” I am confused.
I do not understand what resource they are talking about. National All Jersey (NAJ) has collected over $800,000 in Equity money over the last few years.
My question: “When is the The Right Time?”
There is never a “Right Time” in milk marketing. Just get it done!
If it was done 30 years ago in the Western milk market, then it can be done for Orders 5 and 7 (Appalachian and the Southeast). It also stands to reason if California can join the Federal Milk Marketing Order system, Multiple Component Pricing could be implemented in Orders 5 and 7.
