In response to Hoard's Dairyman Intel item, "Students are bankrolling public colleges."
As a graduate of UW-Madison, I am such a firm believer in higher education that I promised my five granddaughters that I would pay their tuition through college.
However, if these universities keep raising their tuition, they will soon price themselves out of consideration. Students are smart enough to figure out where they need to go to get what they want as cheaply as possible. Universities need to stop building architectural wonders and concentrate on building education programs that fill the needs of society.
